Dance

Dancing is a great way for children and young people to get active and develop physical co-ordination skills, strength and concentration. Sessions involve learning basic dance technique and terminology, rhythm, storytelling through dance and lots of fun! Sessions follow the purpose and principles of the national curriculum and dance syllabus such as BBO (British Ballet Organisation), RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and/or IDTA (International Dance Teachers' Association). We can also deliver children's dance fitness classes, such as Kids Zumba.

Singing/Music

Hands on active music making with instruments and through singing. Encouraging and developing singing due to its proven positive effect on communication and expression. Using instruments to explore basic concepts of music performing whilst having the most fun making lots of noise! Sessions follow the purpose and principles of the national curriculum and ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal School of Music) syllabus where age/skill level appropriate. We can also deliver specific group or one-to-one singing and music instrumental teaching.

Drama/Storytelling

From 'The Gruffalo', 'We're going on a Bear Hunt', 'Where the Wild Things Are' through to first experiences of Shakespeare, our drama sessions encourage children and young people to bring to life characters, places and stories through their own voices and bodies. Encouraging and developing speech and communication, learning good articulation and diction - an invaluable life skill - through fun and engaging drama games, role play and speaking in front of others. Sessions follow the purpose and principles of LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) syllabus.
